Cancun!  Oh my, what a place...  If you are looking for a getaway that affords tropical beauty all around, ancient ruins to experience, that whatever-color-you-call-it turquoise blue Caribbean Sea, snorkeling, swimming with dolphins excursions, bright white "always cool" sand beaches, night life, jungle tours, multiple restaurants, friendly locals, US Dollars accepted practically everywhere, shopping and bargain hunting and English readily understood and acceptable for communication... Cancun is more than a safe bet to find all of the above and much, much more.
